Job Overview:

As an Assistant to the Construction Project Manager, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in construction management, offering exposure to various aspects of project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support Project Management: Assist the Construction Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and daily reports. Prepare and distribute regular status reports to stakeholders.

- Communication: Serve as a point of contact between the Construction Project Manager, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. Ensure that all parties are informed of project progress and any potential issues.

- Quality Control: Assist in monitoring project activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

- Budget Management: Help track project expenses, manage invoices, and support cost-control efforts.

- Problem-Solving: Identify potential issues or delays in the project and assist in developing solutions to keep the project on track.

- Meeting Coordination: Organize and attend project meetings, taking notes and ensuring that action items are followed up.

Qualifications:

- Education: Degree in Construction Management, Civil engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant experience will also be considered.

- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in construction or project management. Internship experience is acceptable.

- Skills:

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Basic understanding of construction processes and safety regulations.

- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

This is a full time position

Monday-Friday

6:30am - 3pm
